The Designers

KRISTIN BIORN, Principal  After moving seventeen times in 30 years, Kristin’s become a bit of an expert on setting up shop in short order. Every house she calls her home looks like she’s lived there for years within days of moving in. Her sense of style and endless resourcefulness make furniture, art and accessories magically appear out of nowhere wherever she is. From San Francisco to Honolulu, Paris to New York, whether penniless or penny-ful, Kristin has always found a way to surround herself with beautiful things.

Kristin’s career has always been about style and presentation. But after 25 years working as a Creative Director in Advertising, a change was in order. Kristin looked to what made her happy  …  making other people happy by making their homes work.

Traditional or contemporary, modern or country French, Kristin’s interior design clients always feel she specializes in their style alone. Kristin credits her mother, UCLA Design School and a lot of research.

With few exceptions, every home she stages sells within three months, most within three weeks. One home that had been on the market for two years sold within 12 days of being staged by Kristin.

Kristin’s re-design portfolio is now packed with proof of the amazing transformations that take place when she moves furniture a little to the left, replaces the chair from the bedroom with a table from the living room and, for less than 100 bucks and slaps some black paint on an oversized white canvas to create art mistaken for a museum quality Franz Kline masterpiece.

Bachelors and bachelorettes love her. Not only does she make them believe anything is possible, but she also sets them up to succeed by dressing their homes for success or as Kristin puts it, “Your home reflects who you are and, more importantly, who you could be. Make sure it’s saying, “You’re all that!”

STEPHANIE FRANK, Principal “I believe that when your home is “all that,” your life can change and you become “all that” as well.”

Stephanie Frank’s remarkable attention to detail and eye for flow, color and unique style allow her to transform any space into a pleasant living area.

Stephanie started out just visiting friends’ homes and, using what they already owned, “moved a few things around, got rid of clutter, and showcased hidden pieces.” Within a few hours, she had transformed entire rooms, creating energy flow and balance in the space, which she feels is imperative to living a happy life.

“It’s exciting to witness the rebirth of a room.  I love to bring out people’s own personalities in a space, and whenever possible, by simply using what they already have!”

Stephanie has attended UCLA and Santa Monica College for interior design, and continues to take courses to broaden her skills. She also includes some principles of feng shui into her designs, and believes it is essential to achieve a sense of harmony and balance within a space.

With her unique style and her fun, free spirit, Stephanie is definitely “all that!”
